Do I need to live in the parish?

In order to be married at St Ann with Emmanuel either or both of you will need to satisfy one of the following conditions:

  • live within the ecclesiastical parish. You can check this by entering your post code at http://www.achurchnearyou.com/parishmap.php

  • be an active member of the congregation with your name entered
 on the electoral roll, or

  • have some prior family connection with the parish; for instance, at some
stage either you, your parents or your grandparents will have lived and/or
worshipped here.

How much does it cost?

We charge the basic statutory fee fixed nationally by the Church of England plus additional fees which cover costs associated with the building. Without an organist the basic church fee is £541. Before you can marry in the church you will either need your Banns of Marriage to be read  or to get a Common Licence.
