Part-time 15hrs per week (including Sundays) / £25,000-£27,000 p.a. (depending on experience) pro rata (plus 8% pension contribution)
Initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension to 5 years.

Do you love Jesus and long for young people to find purpose and security in following Him? Do you have a desire to help young people in church to grow as disciples and learn to lead others? Do you enjoy the challenge of making connections with non-church youth in a multicultural area which is labelled ‘deprived’?

St Ann with Emmanuel church is in the heart of St Ann’s, and seeks to be IN the community FOR the community. “We receive God’s love and share it with others”

We are a friendly and welcoming church, with a good number of children and youth already involved. We have a children and families worker but need more provision for the youth – both those in church, and those “on the streets”.

The job is to grow disciples in two different ways:

– inward: to nurture, grow and develop faith in the teenagers in our church

-outward: to reach out to the youth in St Ann’s with God’s love – building relationships in which you can introduce them to Jesus.

You will be supported in this role by the Vicar and others in church, as well as the Diocesan Youth Team and networks. We look forward to discerning together the way forward and supporting you as you discover and grow in the gifts God has given you.
